In this energising and refreshing yoga class, your teacher will help you improve your posture, make your body stronger and more flexible, and at the same time help you make your mind calmer and more controlled to improve your concentration.
Our aim is to achieve the balance we all need to prevent illness and to cope with everyday life – simply to feel better.
In this class you will learn stretching and strengthening yoga techniques with careful attention to synchronising breath (prānāyāma) and movement in dynamic as well as static postures (āsanas). The yoga poses are adjusted to your particular needs.
Anyone at all levels is very welcome to join the class.
Fridays 12:30-1:30pm- beginner’s welcome / open level
This very mellow and gentle class is dedicated to slowing down, restoring the mind and body, and is the perfect antidote to the stresses of urban life.
The first part of this class is slow, gentle breathing & stretching, to help you soften, relax and release tension from your mind & body. This will help your body enter a more deeper, restful state during the restoratives poses which take place during the last half of the class. The restorative poses will help rebalance your nervous system and help you enter a state of deep relaxation, by encouraging a gentle opening of the body through passive stretching. Props will be used during this class to help support the body, making it feel more comfortable, so it can hold poses for longer.
